Due to course sequencing, required nursing courses begin in the fall semester only with an admitted cohort of approximately 65 students each year.
Students with an interest in nursing should declare nursing as their major upon application to the University so that they can be assigned a nursing faculty advisor in their sophomore year for program planning purposes. The Henson advising coordinator advises pre-nursing students in their freshman year.
