As an ambassador for health and wellness, you’ll promote benefits of wellness and physical activity, including better motor skills and fitness, nutrition, character development, teamwork, and enjoyment of leisure time.

About half of our students choose to double-major in Physical Education K-12 and Health Education 5-12, which may be accomplished in four years. Those who choose not to double-major are encouraged to consider a second middle level endorsement, a health education minor or coaching minor.

As an education student, you'll complete student teaching experiences at a metro-area school, developing your skills and learning from your cooperating teacher.

Physical Education K-12 majors also have the option to add the Developmental and Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) endorsement for an additional licensure, which is given high priority by many school districts.
