Louisiana Tech University fees for Indian students depend on quarter-based tuition, college of study, and scholarship status. Postgraduate tuition for high-interest routes ranges from $20,449 (INR 19.55 Lakhs) to $46,583 (INR 44.54 Lakhs) for the full programme at unchanged 2026-2027 rates. Undergraduate tuition ranges from $22,833 (INR 21.83 Lakhs) to $23,343 (INR 22.32 Lakhs) per academic year before scholarships. The Master of Business Administration costs $20,614 (INR 19.71 Lakhs) for the 30-credit route.
The official Louisiana Tech University international funding estimate lists $5,370 (INR 5.13 Lakhs) for living expenses across Fall, Winter, and Spring. Add $1,900 (INR 1.82 Lakhs) for books and insurance. University housing changes the living expenses sharply, because a residence hall double costs $1,000 (INR 95,610) per quarter and meal plans are mandatory for on-campus residents.
A 30-credit Master of Business Administration first-year budget is about $30,842 (INR 29.49 Lakhs), using 12-month living and mandatory visa costs. A four-year Computer Science undergraduate tuition total is $93,372 (INR 89.27 Lakhs) at unchanged current rates, before housing and visa costs. United States dollar (USD) and Indian rupee (INR) conversions use USD 1 = INR 95.61, supplied on September 14, 2026.
Winter 2026-27: Quarter Pricing and Visa Timing
Intake: Winter 2026-27 is realistic for graduate applicants who meet the October 1, 2026 international deadline. Spring 2027 follows with a January 1, 2027 graduate deadline, and undergraduate Fall 2027 planning should use the next published admission cycle.
Fee update: The 2026-2027 rate applies to current quarter billing, with graduate 9-credit nonresident tuition from $6,291 (INR 6.01 Lakhs) to $6,451 (INR 6.17 Lakhs) per quarter and undergraduate 12-credit nonresident tuition from $7,611 (INR 7.28 Lakhs) to $7,781 (INR 7.44 Lakhs) per quarter.
When to pay: Louisiana Tech lists no universal tuition deposit, but Winter 2026-27 payment-plan enrollment opens October 1, 2026 with 15% down on the student account balance.
Scholarships: The undergraduate Bulldog Scholarship remains the main university award, while major Indian external overseas awards for the Fall 2026 to Spring 2027 cycle are closed.

Louisiana Tech University tuition fees are billed by quarter, so credit load changes the full programme cost. Graduate examples use 9-credit quarter rates, while undergraduate examples use the 12-credit full-time rate for three quarters.
Postgraduate fees for the 10 selected Louisiana Tech programmes range from $20,449 (INR 19.55 Lakhs) to $46,583 (INR 44.54 Lakhs). The table uses each programme credit requirement and the matching college rate.
Tuition is calculated from the 2026-2027 nonresident graduate quarter rate for the programme college. Business, Engineering and Science, Applied and Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Education and Human Sciences carry different quarter rates.

Note: Louisiana Tech uses quarter billing, not semester billing. A 9-credit graduate quarter can cost $6,406 (INR 6.12 Lakhs) in Business, but the full Master of Business Administration total depends on all 30 credits.
Undergraduate fees for common four-year routes start at $22,833 (INR 21.83 Lakhs) per academic year after using three full-time quarters. The Bulldog Scholarship can reduce the I-20 tuition estimate by $11,049 (INR 10.56 Lakhs) when eligibility is met.
Tuition is calculated from the 2026-2027 nonresident undergraduate 12-credit quarter rate for each college. The full-course figure multiplies one academic year by four years.
| Programme | Duration | Published tuition (USD and INR) | Indicative full-course tuition (USD and INR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Computer Science (Bachelor of Science) | 120 credit hours, 4 years | $7,781 (INR 7.44 Lakhs) per full-time quarter | $93,372 (INR 89.27 Lakhs) |

The 2026-2027 published fee year is the usable trend anchor for Winter 2026-27 and Spring 2027. Louisiana Tech did not expose older official college-level nonresident rows in the fetched fee pages, so the year-over-year change is left uncalculated.
| Fee year | UG USD | UG INR | YoY % |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-2027 standard undergraduate I-20 tuition and fees | $23,418 (INR 22.39 Lakhs) | INR 22.39 Lakhs | Current official rate |
| 2025-2026 comparable official archive | Not published in fetched source | Not published in fetched source | Not calculated |
Source: Louisiana Tech University 2026-2027 tuition and fees; Louisiana Tech international undergraduate funding estimate.
Key Insight: Winter 2026-27 and Spring 2027 budgets should use the 2026-2027 rate until Louisiana Tech releases the next official fee year. A $6,406 (INR 6.12 Lakhs) graduate quarter should be rerun before the first payment-plan deadline.
A published fee trend is useful only when the same tuition basis is compared across years. Louisiana Tech separates tuition by college and quarter, so a single historical percentage would mislead course decisions.
The official cost of living benchmark is $5,370 (INR 5.13 Lakhs) for three academic quarters. Books and insurance add $1,900 (INR 1.82 Lakhs) to the I-20 funding estimate.
| Expense | Monthly (USD) | Monthly (INR) | Annual (INR) | Notes for Indian Students |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| University I-20 living estimate | $596.67 | INR 57,047 | INR 5.13 Lakhs | Based on Fall, Winter, and Spring funding. |
| Books and insurance | $211.11 | INR 20,184 | INR 1.82 Lakhs | Used in the official I-20 funding table. |
| Residence hall double room | $333.33 | INR 31,870 | INR 2.87 Lakhs | $1,000 (INR 95,610) per quarter before meal plan. |
| Residence hall private room | $400 | INR 38,244 | INR 3.44 Lakhs | $1,200 (INR 1.15 Lakhs) per quarter before meal plan. |
| Weekly 12 meal plan | $533.33 | INR 50,992 | INR 4.59 Lakhs | $1,600 (INR 1.53 Lakhs) per quarter for on-campus residents. |
| Total I-20 non-tuition benchmark | $807.78 | INR 77,232 | INR 6.95 Lakhs | Living, books, and insurance only. |
Source: Louisiana Tech international undergraduate funding estimate; Louisiana Tech residence and dining fee schedule.
Note: Ruston living expenses should not be judged from rent alone. A campus room may add a mandatory meal plan worth $1,600 (INR 1.53 Lakhs) or more each quarter.
The Winter 2026-27 budget should separate I-20 funding from actual billed housing. This prevents a shortfall when the room and meal-plan bill posts before classes.
Currency Tip: Winter 2026-27 and Spring 2027 first payments can move through Flywire. A 2% to 3% saving on a $6,406 (INR 6.12 Lakhs) quarter bill equals about $128 (INR 12,238) to $192 (INR 18,357).
The total cost of studying at Louisiana Tech University starts near $30,842 (INR 29.49 Lakhs) for a 30-credit Master of Business Administration route. The first-year budget changes most when campus housing and meal-plan choices replace the I-20 living benchmark.
| Scenario | Tuition | Living | Mandatory Fees | Total Year 1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Master of Business Administration, 30-credit route with 12-month I-20 living basis | $20,614 (INR 19.71 Lakhs) | $7,160 (INR 6.85 Lakhs) | $3,068 (INR 2.93 Lakhs) | $30,842 (INR 29.49 Lakhs) |
| Master of Business Administration, lower campus room and meal mix | $20,614 (INR 19.71 Lakhs) | $9,600 (INR 9.18 Lakhs) | $3,068 (INR 2.93 Lakhs) | $33,282 (INR 31.82 Lakhs) |
| Master of Business Administration, higher campus apartment and meal mix | $20,614 (INR 19.71 Lakhs) | $20,280 (INR 19.39 Lakhs) | $3,068 (INR 2.93 Lakhs) | $43,962 (INR 42.03 Lakhs) |
| Undergraduate standard I-20 route, 9-month basis | $23,418 (INR 22.39 Lakhs) | $5,370 (INR 5.13 Lakhs) | $2,435 (INR 2.33 Lakhs) | $31,223 (INR 29.85 Lakhs) |
| Undergraduate Bulldog Scholarship I-20 route, 9-month basis | $12,369 (INR 11.83 Lakhs) | $5,370 (INR 5.13 Lakhs) | $2,435 (INR 2.33 Lakhs) | $20,174 (INR 19.29 Lakhs) |

The full Master of Business Administration tuition plus 12-month living and mandatory visa costs is $30,842 (INR 29.49 Lakhs). A INR 30 Lakhs education loan at 10.5% for 10 years gives an EMI of about INR 40,500 per month.
Key Insight: The biggest controllable saving is the undergraduate Bulldog Scholarship. It cuts the official I-20 total from $30,688 (INR 29.34 Lakhs) to $19,639 (INR 18.78 Lakhs) for the 9-month estimate.
Louisiana Tech University scholarships are strongest for undergraduate applicants through the Bulldog Out-of-State Scholarship. Graduate applicants should focus on assistantships because the university says graduate students are not eligible for the Bulldog Scholarship.
| Award | Who can use it | Support value | Status and deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bulldog Out-of-State Scholarship | Eligible international undergraduate students | About 50% of tuition, cutting I-20 tuition by $11,049 (INR 10.56 Lakhs) | Considered through undergraduate admission and portal acceptance. |
| Graduate assistantship | Graduate students, by department | Out-of-state tuition and fee waiver may apply | Target-intake deadline pending by department. |

| JN Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship | Up to INR 20 Lakhs as a loan scholarship | Fall 2026 to Spring 2027 cycle closed on March 29, 2026 | Track the next overseas cycle for Fall 2027 planning. |
| K.C. Mahindra Education Trust | Up to INR 10 Lakhs for top awards, and up to INR 5 Lakhs for others | Academic year 2026 applications closed on April 30, 2026 | Not usable as live funding for Winter 2026-27. |
| Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation | Up to $120,000 (INR 1.15 Crore), where eligible | 2026 applications closed, and many business, computer science, engineering, and MBA routes are excluded | Do not count it for most Louisiana Tech fee-table routes. |
Source: Official scholarship-provider pages for JN Tata Endowment, K.C. Mahindra Education Trust, and Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation.
Tip for Indian Students: Winter 2026-27 graduate funding should start with assistantship enquiries before the October 1, 2026 deadline. Undergraduate Fall 2027 planning should test Bulldog eligibility before adding external loans.
The scholarship section should be read with the fee structure, not separately. A tuition waiver changes the billed amount, while an external loan changes cash flow and repayment.
Louisiana Tech University does not publish one standard course tuition deposit for international students. The main early payments are application fees, housing booking charges, and any Nelnet payment-plan down payment.
| Payment item | Amount | Timing | How it affects the student budget |
|---|---|---|---|
| Graduate application fee | $40 (INR 3,824) | During graduate application submission | Separate from tuition and not credited to the student account. |
| Undergraduate international application fee | $30 (INR 2,868) | During undergraduate application submission | Separate from tuition and scholarship review. |
| New resident housing application and room-retention fees | $250 (INR 23,902) | Before room assignment | Separate housing cash before arrival. |
| Winter 2026-27 Business graduate payment-plan down payment | $961 (INR 91,872) to $2,114 (INR 2.02 Lakhs) | Based on 15% to 33% of a $6,406 (INR 6.12 Lakhs) quarter bill | Part of the tuition account balance, not an extra fee. |
Methods of payment

Source: Louisiana Tech international wire-transfer page; Louisiana Tech payment-plan page; Louisiana Tech tuition and fees.
Note: Winter 2026-27 payment-plan enrollment begins on October 1, 2026. A wire transfer should be initiated before the fee-payment deadline, because late registration can add $50 (INR 4,781).
The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies term is not used in the United States system. Louisiana Tech uses the Form I-20 for the F-1 student visa route.
Winter 2026-27 applicants should hold at least $825 (INR 78,878) before adding the first tuition payment. This covers the graduate application fee, visa fee, SEVIS fee, and basic housing booking charges.
| Cash Needed Before Arrival | Amount | Included items |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum before first tuition balance | $825 (INR 78,878) | Graduate application, F-1 visa, SEVIS, and new-resident housing booking fees. |
| Minimum with first Business graduate quarter | $7,231 (INR 6.91 Lakhs) | Minimum fees above plus a $6,406 (INR 6.12 Lakhs) 9-credit Business quarter. |
Source: Louisiana Tech tuition and fees; Louisiana Tech international admissions; U.S. visa and SEVIS fee rules; Louisiana Tech Optional Practical Training guidance.
Note: Families often miss the SEVIS I-901 fee because it is separate from the visa appointment fee. The two visa-related payments together are $535 (INR 51,151).
Budget approximately INR 78,878 to INR 6.91 Lakhs for verified first-arrival hidden costs. The higher figure applies when the first quarter tuition balance is due before travel.
The most urgent saving route for Winter 2026-27 is graduate assistantship screening before the October 1, 2026 deadline. Undergraduate Fall 2027 planning should first test the Bulldog Scholarship because it changes the I-20 tuition total by $11,049 (INR 10.56 Lakhs).
Source: Louisiana Tech scholarship guidance; Louisiana Tech residence and dining rates; USCIS student employment guidance; official U.S. Optional Practical Training rules.
Tip for Indian Students: The largest verified saving is the Bulldog Scholarship for undergraduates. It reduces the official I-20 total by $11,049 (INR 10.56 Lakhs) before living-cost choices are even made.
Louisiana Tech University is strongest on value when the route has clear placement data or a tuition waiver. The Master of Business Administration budget of $30,842 (INR 29.49 Lakhs) compares well with the college-reported average salary of $86,107 (INR 82.33 Lakhs) for authorised-to-work respondents.
The College of Business reports 99% six-month placement for Master of Business Administration graduates in 2024-2025. The average monthly salary works out to about $7,176 (INR 6.86 Lakhs), before tax and location costs.
A INR 30 Lakhs loan creates an EMI of about INR 40,500 per month over 10 years at 10.5%. That EMI is about 6% of the reported gross monthly Master of Business Administration salary before tax.
Computer Science and Engineering routes add a different return path because eligible science, technology, engineering and mathematics programmes can use up to 36 months of Optional Practical Training. Non-STEM routes generally use the 12-month Optional Practical Training period.
Source: Louisiana Tech College of Business Student Success page; 2024-2025 MBA Placement Report; Center for World University Rankings 2026; official U.S. Optional Practical Training rules.
Key Insight: Winter 2026-27 applicants should treat assistantship or placement evidence as the value test. The Master of Business Administration salary benchmark is strongest only for students authorised to work in the United States.
Louisiana Tech University fees for Winter 2026-27 and Spring 2027 are manageable when the quarter bill is matched to the exact college rate. A Master of Business Administration budget starts near $30,842 (INR 29.49 Lakhs), while an eligible undergraduate can cut the official I-20 total to $19,639 (INR 18.78 Lakhs) through the Bulldog Scholarship. A INR 30 Lakhs loan gives an EMI near INR 40,500 per month, so assistantships and scholarship eligibility should be checked before the first payment-plan date. The October 1, 2026 graduate deadline is the next cash-flow trigger for Winter 2026-27 applicants.

The architecture curriculum is good, but it does require a lot of electives that I do not feel contribute to your learning and experiences as a future architect. I also wish there were other architecture courses offered outside of the ones that are required.
There are a few schools of design fees each quarter, tuition, room and then whatever meal plan you choose.
