  • Difficulty level depends on the courses you choose; since its an open curriculum, you can choose the subjects you want to study.
  • Usually its a mix of both, but again, it comes down to which subject you choose. If you want to study something more theory-based, there are courses for that (e.g., since I am a DS student, theory-based courses are math heavy), while practical ones are more into building projects and having a working session.

Fees

  • After 40% waiver on tuition fee, college fee is around $12000 per semester.
  • Health insurance annually is around $3000.
  • Fee is semester-wise. You can also pay semester-wise fee in 2-3 installments
  • Graduate housing is around $550-$650 (some have heat included and wifi not included, some have wifi included but heat not included in rent)
  • No expense for transportation; the university shuttle is very convenient unless have to go somewhere far
  • Monthly expense: $615 rent + $50-$100 groceries + $80-$100 extras.

  • It is a mix of theoretical and case based, I think if you have an analytical bent of mind it shouldn’t be too difficult to navigate.
  • About 17% of the class would be Indian or Indian Origin.
  • The faculty is absolutely top notch and always willing to hep you learn, sometimes being on the quarter system makes you feel time flew by too quickly.

Fees

  • Tuition Fee is about $110,000 and monthly expenses come out to about a $1000 ($550 for rent including utilities, $400 for groceries and $50 for public transportation).
  • The fee can be paid semester wise or all at one go. Many times the fee would be reduced if you have a merit scholarship and plenty of on campus jobs are also available to help with expenses.

  • Courses are usually a mix of both theory and application; at the difficulty level, I can say you will be fully occupied throughout the semester, and at the end of the semester, you will feel like dying.indecision
  • The graduate-level courses are very up-to-date; sometimes we have to do mini-projects according to the state of the art work, which requires a lot of current literature and a lot of effort.
  • Some classes have approx. 30–40 students, while some very advanced-level courses have very few students, like 6–10 students.
  • In my batch, we are 6 Indian Students, whereas in Data Science or Finance, approx 70% students are Indians

Fees

  • You will get a proper fee structure breakdown here:
  • I live in on-campus housing, which is $1150 for a 2-bedroom apartment including electricity. The price ranges from $1100 to $1800 for a 2-bedroom apartment.
  • Apart from that, monthly expense including wifi, phone bills, groceries, Eating outside, etc will cost around $500 per month if done in a controlled way

  • The CS and Math curriculums are fairly diverse, but they do seem a bit too much on the theoretical side at times.
  • Almost every course, barring a few project-based ones, have exams. However, with the relatively easily accessible research opportunities, I was able to obtain more practical experience! It's also possible to reach out to professors for independent study (for credit), to obtain the same practical experience.

Fees

  • Currently, the rough breakdown follows for annual charges.
  1. Tuition $65000
  2. Housing $11000
  3. Meal Plan $4000
  4. Health Insurance $2000
  • Fees are charged semester-wise (for the Fall and Spring semesters separately).
  • In addition to this, monthly fees are probably $300-350 for eating from outside occasionally, taking Ubers, and other miscellaneous activities.

It depends on the class, but the academics are very strong and prepare us well for work and research. There are lots of projects and research opportunities.

Fees

I pay around $15,000 per semester and I am doing 3 semesters of graduate school.
