Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are professionals who work in public schools, private clinics, or medical settings to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Audiologists are professionals who work in clinics and medical settings to provide diagnosis and treatment of hearing, balance, and other auditory disorders for people of all ages. SLPs and Audiologists collaborate with other health care professionals including educators, psychologists, physicians, nurses, occupational therapists and clients' families.
