- Working in a diverse and dynamic field that provides public health services to individuals from all age groups, in multiple settings, and affords the opportunity to work with professionals from myriad other disciplines such as sociology, psychology, anthropology, biology, chemistry, communication, mathematics, business, nursing, occupational science, social work, political science, and government.
- Planning and implementing programs and events that address current and future health issues.
- This long-standing program is the only CEPH accredited undergraduate program in the state of Kentucky.
- Seniors complete an internship (HEA 463) where they apply the skills they have learned in the program to real life problems.
- Students who graduate from this program are ready to sit for the CHES exam to become Certified Health Education Specialists.
- The School Health option provides the opportunity to teach in K-12 institutions.
- A degree in Public Health enables students to intervene in community and individual settings to help people stay healthier.
