This option is designed so students can earn their MBA degree and complete the four sections of the CPA exam in as little as one year, though a part-time option is also available.

Pennsylvania requires that those who wish to sit for the CPA exam must hold an undergraduate degree and have 150 college credits, including 24 semester hours in accounting/accounting-related coursework.

The Innovation - Taxation Concentration program at?Jefferson (Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University)?provides both the coursework and credit hour requirements for certification.
Unique Aspects:

  • The CPA concentration curriculum is geared specifically to the CPA exam.
  • CPA review is provided as a complete package by nationally ranked Becker CPA review. Funding for the course is included along with tuition.
  • PhilaU provides a scholarship that pays for the Becker CPA review modules, CPA exam review, CPA mobile flashcards and fully reimburses exam registration fees as you pass each part. This scholarship has a value of approximately $5,000.
  • The Big Four accounting firms often expect that new hires take and pass at least some portion of the CPA exam. Our program positions students for high CPA success compared with other programs.
