After three years of undergraduate study at St. John?s, you?ll begin study toward the O.D. degree at SUNY. Your first year of O.D. coursework will also apply toward your remaining B.S. requirements at SJU. You?ll receive your O.D. after completing the full four years at SUNY.
Through this accelerated dual degree program, you can save one year in tuition, travel, and book costs. You will also receive continuous guidance from both institutions for all seven years of study. Please note that you must submit a separate application to SUNY and are not guaranteed admission into that program.
You can gain an academic and professional edge by joining St. John?s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences? honor society chapters. As a student in this accelerated dual degree program, you may have special interest in the Watson Pre-Health Honor Society and the Roger Bacon Scientific Honors Society. You may also wish to join theAmerican College of Healthcare Executives (Student ACHE), an association for students aspiring to leadership in the healthcare professions.
