A Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how organizations are structured and expected to run. This allows our Management majors to immediately contribute to organizations across many disciplines such as finance, healthcare, human resources, and international business.The 124-credit program provides knowledge and skills in leadership, organization, planning and strategy for successful management in business as well as the non-profit sector. Combining challenging coursework, outstanding faculty and top New York-area internships, the program prepares students to assume responsibility for an organization's success in areas ranging from information systems and operational logistics to marketing, sales and human resources.The Tobin College is fully accredited by AACSB International — the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Fewer than 20 percent of collegiate business schools in the U.S. and Canada have attained this accreditation. Accounting students at St. John's gain expertise in the principles and applications of accounting, readying them for exciting careers in public and private practice.The Management Department's Human Resource courses fully align with curriculum requirements of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) which is the world's largest Human Resources organization. Students are prepared through coursework to sit for SHRM's Certificate examination - the Assurance of Learning Assessment.
