In the thermodynamics course, you will be introduced to the laws of thermodynamics and the kinetic theory of gases.
Quantum mechanics is a challenging course that will review the barrier problems and problems involving perturbation theory, and one-electron atoms.
Master of Science in Physics
This program is similar to our master of arts program. The difference is you will be required to write a 6-hour thesis, which is normally a formal report on your research in some feature of experimental physics, theoretical physics, or physics education.
The master of science degree has a more involved research component, which is more appropriate if you are intending to go to a PhD program or a research intensive career.
