Students who select this track must complete the required core courses in the area in agricultural sciences and 24 credit hours of track requirements, with advisor's approval.Whether you’re interested in horticulture, agronomy or pursuing a career in veterinary science, the Department of Agricultural Sciences can help you lay the foundation for a successful career. As a student, you’ll have numerous opportunities for hands-on learning at the University’s 350-acre farm, the Derrickson Agricultural Complex (commonly referred to as the University Farm), and at Browning Orchard. The University Farm includes equine facilities, greenhouses, livestock operations and a small and large animal hospital, where veterinary technology and veterinary science students assess, diagnose and treat cats, dogs and other domesticated animals.
