Students will gain a strong foundation of the knowledge necessary to design and develop data-driven and human-centered systems, and to evaluate the next generation of information technology tools for different disciplines. Students in the program will also develop effective decision theory and project management skills through coursework and project-based capstone experiences.
Demand for informatics professionals has grown 30% nationally from 2013 to 2017. Upon program completion, graduates have the opportunity and skills to work for employers and companies that are seeking bachelor?s-level informatics professionals, such as Accenture, Children?s Healthcare of Atlanta, Delta Airlines, and Kaiser Permanente.
The B.S. in Informatics program?is offered?fully online and at Mercer's Atlanta Campus, Macon Campus, Douglas County and Henry County locations. Students are admitted five times per year in August, October, January, March, and May.
