Bachelor of Science [B.S] [Nutrition and Dietetics (Coordinated Program in Dietetics, BS & MS)] From Loma Linda University

The B.S. degree prepares entry-level dietitians to join the profession and contribute to the wholeness of humankind. The graduate is awarded the Bachelor of Science degree and is eligible to write the registration examination of the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.

The B.S. degree curriculum comprises didactic and supervised professional practice experiences in a health science and liberal arts environment to prepare an educated graduate.

Students desiring an M.S. degree in nutrition and dietetics who do not have a bachelor's degree may take this three-year course of study at Loma Linda University. The first two years of the curriculum offer the opportunity to complete a bachelor's degree and take the registration examination at the end of this time period in order to become an RD. The student completes the master's degree during the third year, having enhanced his/her skills by completing additional graduate didactic courses. A growing number of RDs work in the food and nutrition industry, in business, journalism, sports nutrition, and corporate wellness programs.
