The faculty identify the following four items as the key learning objectives for this major:
To prepare students so they can enter and succeed in careers in investments, corporate finance, banking and other finance-related professions.
To enable our majors to enter and succeed in careers outside of finance where knowledge of the finance discipline would be a valuable asset.
To provide an academic background that would enable a student to enter a high-quality graduate business program.
To enhance the financial literacy of students so that they will have the basics required to manage their personal financial affairs.
