In the?heatre - Theatre Performance?program offered at Rider University?you will study acting, dance and voice. Your professors will nurture your talents and skills, and expose you to both the theoretical and practical aspects of musical theatre and theatre.
As a student in this track, you will:
- Take weekly half-hour private voice lessons
- Participate in tap, jazz and ballet dance classes
- Attend weekly Musical Theatre Labs featuring notable guest arts and master classes
- Audition for all campus musical theatre and theater productions (required after the first semester), which include 6 main stage productions and two cabarets
- Audition senior year to participate in a showcase in New York City, performing for industry professionals
