Students can choose between two concentrations: exercise science or pre-physical therapy. For those desiring to work in university athletic programs, community sports organizations or private and public fitness and recreation programs, the exercise science concentration is the best choice. With 19 hours of elective credit hours built into the program, you can focus your learning with courses that complement your degree — or even explore other fields of interest. The program also includes six semesters of practicums, giving students plenty of opportunities for hands-on training in the field of kinesiology. Course topics include coaching, human performance, weight training, sport psychology, care and prevention of athletic injuries, and ethics and spirituality in sports.
