Students particularly interested in the University's graduate program in occupational therapy (OT) have the option of following the anthropology pre-occupational therapy (Pre-OT) track. This is a 4:1.5 track, meaning that students must complete all departmental requirements for the anthropology major in three years, and then begin OT graduate work during their senior year. At the end of their senior year, students will have earned a BS in Anthropology. They will then continue with their graduate OT coursework for another year and a half, at which time they will have earned a master's degree in occupational therapy. The total time for both degrees is five and a half years. Please note: admission to the OT graduate program is not automatic, even if a student has completed the anthropology pre-OT track.
