Courses have clinical experiences in all of the major hospitals in the Texas Medical Center and in numerous community health sites. In addition, most hospitals in the area offer opportunities for students to be selected for work-study programs. Approximately 10 students per school are selected, hired by the hospital and work about 24 hours per month. Students are paid for their work and, in addition, receive scholarship support from the institution. Students study intensive care nursing at Memorial Hermann Hospital, one of the nation?s leading trauma and burn centers.?
