You’ll acquire the skills you need to work in a hospital laboratory, conduct experiments that may eventually lead to a cure for cancer or AIDS, analyze toxicology reports for the police or conduct research for companies, such as Bristol-Myers Squibb. Many who choose this field pursue an advanced degree and become physicians, dentists, veterinarians or pharmacists. 

You can choose an internship at a local biotechnology company or health facility, or take on an independent study project researching the quality of water in a local stream or reservoir. We also offer a five-year biomedical sciences program, which leads to a master of health science degree.
