Many MAE courses are available in summer, evening and weekends. Candidates may enroll in upper-division undergraduate courses if instructors agree to offer the courses for graduate credit.
Upon admission, candidates meet with a faculty adviser to individualize their program of study.
The program culminates in a research project through which candidates explore an essential question identified through their course of study. This project is guided by a university faculty mentor. Candidates publicly present their findings.
