Through art therapy, art and psychology are uniquely combined, and the creative process becomes a vehicle for communication, self-expression and personal growth. As a minimum of a master?s degree is required to become a practicing art therapist, this program will assist you in exploring art therapy as a career while also preparing you for graduate level education. Students in this major who do not plan to go on to graduate school (or do not wish to do so right away) can also explore a community arts focus, and learn to use the arts to address social concerns.
