The School of Geology and Geological Engineering offers several undergraduate degrees in earth and engineering science.

The Bachelor of Science in Geology is our most popular geology degree. The Bachelor of Arts in Geology differs only in the amount of mathematics and calculus that is required. The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience is similar in many ways to the two geology degrees but includes fewer geology classes and more cognate classes from other departments. The Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering degree requires significantly less geology than the other degrees but, instead, includes fundamental engineering classes and some specialized geological engineering classes.

A program that focuses on the scientific study of the earth; the forces acting upon it; and the behavior of the solids, liquids and gases comprising it. Includes instruction in historical geology, geomorphology, and sedimentology, the chemistry of rocks and soils, stratigraphy, mineralogy, petrology, geostatistics, volcanology, glaciology, geophysical principles, and applications to research and industrial problems.
