- As an Exercise and Sport Science major, you?ll engage in science and health courses and graduate with a variety of hands-on experiential learning opportunities, including a full-time internship and several semesters of field experiences. You?ll complete coursework designed to help you earn fitness and wellness certifications and forge connections that can lead to a fulfilling career.
- Gain a well-rounded sport science education that includes courses covering the science of personal motivation, how to operate your own training facility and the scientific processes and statistical measurements behind fitness and wellness.
- Complete a three-credit field experience and a nine-credit internship working in a health, wellness or exercise field that provides real-world experience valued by employers.
- Learn to accurately evaluate the health of people at all ages using scientific measures.
- Develop your knowledge and skills using FSU?s exceptional sports facilities, including the Cordts Physical Education Center that operates the Activities for Life program serving Frostburg and the surrounding community.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Applicant Requirements:
- Submit official high school transcripts and other educational institution attended
- Applicants must have completed the following course prior to graduation: 4 units of English, 3 units of social science/history, 3 units of biological and physical science, 4 units of mathematics, 2 units of foreign language
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit a one page typed personal statement about why you want to pursue the program, evaluate a certain risk/experience/achievement, indicate a person who had significant impact on you, describe a fictional character that had a significant impact on you
- Submit 1-2 letters of recommendation from persons who can speak about your ability
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 500 in PBT; 173 in CBT; 61 in IBT
- IELTS: minimum 5.5
