Bachelor of Science [B.S] [Zoology] From Ohio Wesleyan University

Students who major in general zoology are interested in the study of human beings and other animals, but perhaps do not want to pursue a professional career in medicine or zoology. The Pre-Professional zoology major is more suited for those preparing for medical school. Often general zoology majors choose to double major in another discipline.

Undergraduate research, performed under faculty mentors, is a central component of?The OWU Connection.?You can apply for grant funding?and?present your research at the Student Symposium in the spring.

Zoology students have received University-funded Theory-to-Practice Grants for research projects in Belize, Bolivia, Borneo, Costa Rica, Ecuador, India, Israel, Japan, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Vanuatu, and Vietnam, as well as Texas and the Florida Keys.
