The faculty's expertise encompasses a broad range spanning Latin American literature, Hispanic women's writing, Spanish and Latin American culture, Hispanic linguistics, and the use of technology in the Humanities. Our students can take classes at the Elementary and Intermediate levels in French, German, Japanese, and Latin. We also offer Elementary Arabic classes.
Learning Outcomes
Students will demonstrate in the target language an Advanced-Low Proficiency level in speaking as defined by ACTFL

Career Opportunities Students majoring in foreign languages are preparing themselves to be global citizens. This course of study can prepare students for a wide range of pursuits, including careers in education, government, business, or any institution with international dealings.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of all the previous coursework with evaluation by NACES
- Official transcripts must include course by course evaluation and document by document evaluation
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent
- Submit SAT or ACT scores with minimum score of 480 in evidence based reading/writing and 440 in Maths (old SAT), 440 in critical reading and 410 in Math (new SAT), 17 in English or 17 in reading and Maths (ACT)
- Submit English language proficiency scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Pearson: minimum 58
- MET: minimum 59
