The Ohio State University Graduate Program in Vision Science offers Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in a broad range of basic and clinical research opportunities, with an emphasis on patient-based research. Information about the curriculum, graduate faculty, financial support, and the application process can be found on this website. AMaster’s students can request permission to enroll in the PhD program after the completion of the first year of the Master’s program should they wish to further their education.
Purpose
The purpose of The Ohio State University College of Optometry Graduate Program in Vision Science is to:
- develop successful, independent vision scientists,
- train future educators, and
- generate future leaders.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- A bachelor degree in closely related field from an accredited university
- Submit all the official transcripts to the graduate school
- A minimum of 3.0 GPA is required on a scale of 4.0 in undergraduate and graduate courses
- GRE score is required
- A statement of Intent
- Current Resume
- Three letters of recommendation
English Proficiency Requirements:
TOEFL: 79 minimum in IBT; 550 in PBT
IELTS: 7.0
MELAB: 82
