About this course:
- Biostatistics is one of the primary fields in the science and practice of public health, relating statistical information to concrete health issues as they affect human populations.
- Biostatisticians often collaborate with public health and clinical professionals to research and analyze problems in a wide range of health sciences, providing the evidence needed to make critical clinical and policy decisions.
- The Master of Science (MS) degree is a natural entry point for students who are interested in pursuing a PhD degree or a career in research.
- Because of this orientation, the emphasis in the MS degree program is on building a strong foundation in a particular specialty field, along with the research methods important in that field.
- To reflect this research and academic orientation, the MS degree requires the preparation of a thesis on Biostatistical methods/applications.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants should have the equivalent of a four-year bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university, earned by the expected date of entry into your graduate program.
- The GRE General Test is required if an applicant's GPA cumulative average is less than 3.0.
Indian Eligibility:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.
- Students are required to submit a copy of unofficial GRE or GMAT exam scores.

International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
