The University of Colorado Boulder Master of Science in Computer Science is available in two formats: a traditional, research-oriented M.S. (on-campus, 30 credits, 1.5–2 years) and an online M.S.-CS on Coursera (30 credits, 1–3 years, flexible). The traditional M.S., located in the Department of Computer Science, prepares students for careers in academia, industry research, or tech leadership, with thesis or non-thesis options. Research areas include AI, data science, human-centered computing, and cybersecurity. University of Colorado Boulder accepts English Proficiency Exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo for international students admission.
