Master of Arts [M.A] [Theatre Directing] From Roosevelt University

The ?programme delivered by Roosevelt University?is a summer-only adult degree completion program for current teachers and theatre directors with at least 5 years teaching experience. This program is?not?intended for recent graduates looking to become directors.

Located in the heart of downtown Chicago, CCPA is just steps away from Chicago's bustling theatre district which includes the Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Lookingglass Theatre, and Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

The program focuses on refining directorial and performance skills, developing new approaches in teaching, design, and production preparation, and working collaboratively with other teachers/students who are dedicated to creating theatre with young adults. The curriculum is designed specifically for the classroom theatre teacher and director/acting coach utilizing the expertise and experience of the individual students. All students take the same classes each summer.
