You'll master abstract concepts, learn practical applications of theory, and gain exposure to the dynamic field of computing. This concentration prepares you for any number of careers in the computing field and also provides the foundation needed to pursue further graduate study.
In Slippery Rock University's Computer Science program, students build a solid foundation in computing, including
- Algorithm design and programming
- System modeling and analysis
- System efficiency and correctness assessment
- Effective user interface design
You'll learn from our expert faculty in a friendly and caring environment, and you'll have access to state-of-the-art computing equipment through our on-campus classrooms and labs. SRU features an AI/Robotics laboratory, an innovative tech lab, and three smart classrooms with work-stations. Classes in this program include Shell Commands and Scripting, Administration and Security, and Computer Systems.
