There are two options: one for those interested in preparing for professional practice (culminating in a design paper), and one for those interested in a career in academics or research (culminating in a thesis).
Faculty members are engaged in variety of research projects including:
- advanced materials
- material testing techniques
- biofuels and bioprocessing
- computational fluid dynamics and advanced modeling and simulation
- advanced heat transfer devices
- improving process energy efficiency
- advanced manufacturing systems
A limited number of teaching and research assistantships are available each year.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold an undergraduate degree in agriculture, biology, botany, horticulture, agriculture, environmental science, natural resources, or another related field from an accredited institution.
- An undergraduate 3.0 GPA from an accredited college or university is required.
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Students need to have a minimum of first-class or upper Second with a minimum of 60-80% on an institutional basis.
