Exercise science prepares students to work in exercise-related areas by examining the effects of exercise and physical activity on the human body.
The Exercise Science (BS) - Pre-Professional degree at Appalachian State University is primarily for students looking to pursue graduate or professional school. The program provides the science-related foundation required for successful admission to professional schools for students interested in becoming physical therapists, occupational therapists, physicians and physician assistants.
Faculty in the Department of Health and Exercise Science are nationally and internationally known researchers who are also expert teachers.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Submit official transcripts of high school and other education completed
- Submitting SAT/ACT score is optional
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 78 in ibt;
- IELTS: minimum 6.0
- Duolingo: minimum 100
