- There were 6 students among 90 in the cohort who were Indian.
- Overall the cohort included students from many countries. Internationally diverse.
Admission Experience
- Brown University is the Ivy League university and was one of the happiest campus in USA, the curriculum focus on Entrepreneurship core , 1 year duration and option to cross registration with Harvard made the program best fit for me.
- Admission process involved Essay, GMAT (700+) + TOEFL scores (105+), 3 recommendation letters, CV, and undergraduate college Degree and Transcript. Overall experience was normal just needed to convert the academic grade from Indian undergraduate to US based grading. Complete addmission package should be good enough to stand out among other applicants, and there was a final interview.
- Intake is from May to December, deadline in December 1 for priority while feb 15 for the regular decision.
- The intake procedure involved submission of the application with all the materials until the respective deadline. Around March beginning you will be called for interview and mid-march you will receive the decision.
- I recieved the Addmission offer letter on March first week only and I didn’t require interview.
- Brown (admitted ) Columbia (rejected ) Dartmouth (waitlisted) LBS (waitlisted)
- I was not a good fit for the program at Columbia since my personal career goal has been to become an technology entrepreneur and brown was the best fit, LBS and Dartmouth was kind of a good fit but the brown decision came early and I took it, all of them I applied early decision
Faculty
- Faculty to student ratio is 1-30. Interaction with the faculty was good in general however lot of student devotion and involvement is necessary.
- Teaching methodology is really great, It does help being prepared for the American way of thinking and potential work engagements in corporate and startup ecosystem.
- Faculty does help students in full-time job positions, they introduced to alumni companies and the internship part of the program is also really good and helpful. Jaap De Vris, Jason harry, Ja nae Duane, Hamzah Ansari these have been really good faculty members. Quite approachable and enthusiastic.

- Pay range could be from 20$ to 100$ per hour depending on the campus job profile.
- Other non campus job may include working at library or data collection etc. maximum 20hrs could be devoted to campus job, It’s not easy to secure the job need good relationship with professor or good qualifications for other job profiles.
- Indian students generally did the TA roles for the non campus jobs,
- They had to approach the professor and ask them about the openings, the performance in the course was a big requirement for the TA position, generally they follow application fill up and interview and got selected. It was important to follow up with the respective professors whose course the student are interested to become TA.

Accommodation
- Online college website posting of housing options and the nearby apartments in campus available for rent - monthly rent around 1200$
- River house has very limited units and other off campus housing options are not that great in terms of housing style and the facilities, while the near campus luxury apartments often go above 2500$ per unit. However the security and the common areas and the overall build of the apartments are really nice, while off campus housing is old style build and the facilities are generally functional and okay like no issues in general with the housing and there are landlord help support available for the housing I stayed in.
- My housing was on Thayer st, and mostly Indian students stayed on riverhouse, Thayer St. or park row. All not far from campus few mins of walk.
