Course Curriculum

8

  • The course curriculum was medium difficulty i would say, it has a mix of both theoretical and practical, which was very useful.
  • I would say team projects it has postive and negative aspects. After all, in team projects I got to learn many things because different people used to have different opinions, and at the same time it used to take a very long time to get everyone in same page.
  • There used to be 3-4 classes in a week, mostly evenings, 5-7 pm
  • 20-30 average number of students in my class.
  • 6-9 Indian students were enrolled in my class, and less than 30% indian students used to enroll in my course.

Admission Experience

  • I applied to 6 university those are:
    • New Jersey Institute of Technology (Admitted)
    • Lewis University (Admitted)
    • Suffolk University (Admitted)
    • Kent State University (Admitted)
    • Saint Louis University (Admitted)
    • University of North Texas (Rejected)
  • I received confirmed admission from Lewis University, Kent State University, and Suffolk University.
  • I received rejection from the University of North Texas.
  • In my opinion, I received rejection fromthe  University of North Texas because I had 3 year degree in my Bachelor's. I should have verified the requirements before applying.
    • I chose Suffolk University because the MSBA program is practical and located in downtown Boston, which offers great career opportunities and help in networking opportunities.
    • The admission process of Suffolk requires us to submit an online application with SOP, Transcripts, and English test scores. After that, you will get a decision in 1-2 weeks, then you have to submit the funds you have to go aboard then they will give you the I20 within 2 days.
    • Suffolk requires a Bachelor's degree with English proficiency test scores IELTS - 6.0<, DULINGO - 110<, TOEFL - 80<, GRE/GMAT- optional.
    • My admission experience was smooth and easy compared to other universities. The whole process finished in less than a month.
    • I applied for the January intake, as soon as i finised my bachelors i am still working, so I did not have any plan of going abroad. later when I saw many opportunites i slowly started the process, like writing the exams and applying for universities.
  • I started applying from october and it took me 1 month to get all the admissions and finalise the university.

Faculty

8

  • As I said, my class has 20-30 students, so faculty to student ratio is very interactive and easy to communicate.
  • The teaching was very practical, with real projects and hands-on tools, which helped me feel well-prepared for job roles in analytics.
  • Yes, they do assist students in finding jobs. One of my professor help me get a part time jobs. I worked as a Teaching Assistant under him.
  • I admire Professor Nicole because she is extremely supportive, explains concepts clearly, and genuinely cares about students’ success.

Campus Life

8

  • My university has 10 buildings in total. very near each building.
  • There are many facilities like a library, a basketball court, a gym, and study lounges.
  • There are many events happen ISSA, Disco Diwani, Halloween, and Christmas celebrations.
  • There are many clubs in my university, such as the sports club, the finance club, and many more. Every club will have a meeting every week, and many events happen around the campus

Part Time Jobs

  • 50% of the students can easily secure Teaching Assistant (TA), Research Assistant (RA), or Departmental Assistant (DA) positions.
  • Pay range is average pay according to the boston $ 17 per hour
  • I believe there are librarian jobs available at my campus; the pay will be the same for every part-time job.
  • 20 hours per week is the maximum
  • Medium level difficulty to secure a jon on-campus
  • As I mentioned, $17 per hour. It won't be that difficult in securing a part-time job while studying because if you have a proper network, you can get the job easily. For every university, there will be an internal job portal where jobs will be posted, and we have to apply for it by filling out the application form along with a resume and references, to get selected.

Placement

8

  • There is 40% of students who get full time opprtunites after graduation or get a job within 6 months of employment.
  • $80000 annually for the business analyst position is the average salary here in my state.
  • There are many job portals like Handshake, LinkedIn, glassdoor
  • It is very difficult to get selected and placed in the top MNC'S
  • Yes, Delloite, Mass General, Santender, etc.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

  • I stayed off campus. I found out through Telegram and university WhatsApp groups.
  • My monthly rent is $900 JUST RENT.
  • All the ads posted on groups were not real and accurate, and finding roommates is a very big challenge.
  • I suggest that they find a group for their particular university before coming abroad and try to build Linkedin profile.
  • Luckily i got an accommodation which is very near to my university.

Exams

  • I believe IELTS/TOEFL/DULINGO is required. GRE/GMAT is optional. its better if you have them.
  • The documents required for the application process are Official transcripts, 3 LOR, SOP, resume, Prof of funds.
  • No, an interview was not a part of my application process. After receiving the admission letter i have to attend a visa interview, and then if it is approved, I can fly to the United States

Fees

  • My fees for my entire course are $81,360 for tuition, $54,912 living expenses, $21,948 and for books, others $4,500. Basically, for a 9-month program.
  • The fees are charged based on semester-wise basis
  • Monthly expenses will be $1500-2000$, the rent is $1000, Transportation-$150 other expenses- $850. Boston has a very high cost of living compared to other cities in the United States

Scholarship

  • Yes, I did receive a scholarship during my course for 2 semesters. The name of the scholarship is SBS Graduate Scholarship, and it's based on merit. You just have to submit the transcripts if you have above 7 points out of 10 in your bachelors you can easily get the scholarship.
  • The amount of the Scholarship was $13,800, excluding taxes
  • Yes, I remember my fellow mates also received the same kind of financial aid.
  • As far as I know, Almost 98% of new students will receive a scholarship every year
