Course Curriculum

6

  • I don't know about the Computer Science department, but all the other fields have good exposure
  • Depends on the department, but a maximum of 2 classes in a day and 3/4 classes weekly.
  • Computer science classes start at 10:00, 1:40, or 3:40, depending on the subjects.
  • Around 30 students in a class.

Tips to enhance your application

  • LOR-three
  • SOP-one
  • Finance Letter
  • IELTS
  • Transcripts

Admission Experience

  • The University offers Part-time on campus
  • It is a laid-back life, and students will be in a very comfortable zone.
  • Exposure for international students is amazing
  • Too many activities; it's a happening place if students show interest to involve (within the perimeters of the university)

Faculty

8

  • Faculty and staff are very helpful. Koushik Sinha and Bidyut Gupta, Henry Hexmore left an impact. (they are easy but also strict at times and helpful.)

Campus Life

10

  • The college is very huge; both fall and spring semesters start with Homecoming games
  • Summers are packed with concerts
  • The campus has a beautiful lake and a Japanese garden.
  • The library is Huge.
  • One hell of a Campus, I loved it and most students do!
  • we have a sports centre that almost covers all the sports, including swimming.

Part Time Jobs

  • About 4 in 10 students can get GA and TA positions. They also have Student worker positions available but students should be respectful towards the job, show some importance to the opportunity, and be good at english to get those positions. Have to work 20 hr a week. For GAs and TAs, it's usually 1200 or 1500 a month and for students, it's 800 a month (10 hrs/week). There will be tax cuttings as well; students will obtain SSN if hired on campus. Should fill out the forms given in college, apply for ssn if hired and then submit the form and ssn to sign the contract.

Placement

4

  • They provide a job portal called Handshake
  • We have Job Fairs
  • But not very useful for master's students; it's more helpful for undergrad students.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • I found the housing details through whatsapp groups; monthly, for a single room, it costs about $230-350, utilities not included. But still, the cost of living is very good and minimax compared to other places. Houses look old but come with all needs: centralized AC/Heater, stove, fridge, Dishwasher.

Exams

  • IELTS
  • GRE is recommended, stat, so that the tuition fee can be reduced.

Fees

  • It's about 12000 for a semester. so !2,000 * 4 semesters. ( but if any GA, TA, or RA position is taken, the tuition fee will be reduced by a lot.)
