I chose this college bcz of the rigor and reputation of the physics department. It’s an above-average experience. I would say it is my dream college experience since I am not forming and getting that “real” college experience.

Course Curriculum

9

They update the syllabus every few years. I had a problem with a course where I took part one and purchased a textbook, but for part two, the updated version was required.

Faculty

10

The science faculty is very well-versed in the subjects they teach. We have plenty of prestigious Nobel nominees and the famous Michio Kaku is a professor at this university.

Campus Life

10

There are plenty of clubs and extracurricular activities for students to participate in and potentially be apart of a community within the campus.

Placement

9

Most students took this to do a PhD or master's program in their respective fields. Since the school is big on pre-med and engineering, I can safely say that the median salary for students post-graduation is well above the median salary in the city.

Accommodation

Off Campus
6

Dorming within the campus is not something I have experience with, but based on what friends have told me I can say that it is potentially more cost-effective to just find an apartment in Manhattan and live with roommates.

Exams

- I transferred from a different institution, my GPA was very high at my previous institution and that was a major factor in my application to this school - CCNY B.Sc Physics/ B.Sc Chemistry 2.69 GPA - NYS Regents >90% - Any documents: None were submitted or required, only a letter of recommendation from a professor and my transcripts. - Interview Round: No, it is a public institution and interviews were not required for admission.

Fees

$3590 per semester

Scholarship

No scholarships, but received financial aid for some of my time there.
