What Students Say
Likes
- I like everything about the university. The infrastructure, academics is good. I also like the transportation.
I chose this college due to its nice academic structure and also good ranking of the college. I also chose this because of the environment of the college.
Course Curriculum
It's a bit tough. Many people will not consider USF as it has really tough course structure for computer science. But basics are the foundation. If you study hard you can do it. And also there is this thing called you have to score more than 80% in all your core subjects. Students find it a bit hard to score. But with dedication and commitment, you can do it. You have to manage all the assignments and projects well. All the exams and most of the classes are offline. So you have to really prepare well to score well.
Faculty
The faculty is really great. Most of the faculty are foreign. So, sometimes it's a bit hard to adjust to their slang. Apart from that, all the lecturers are really professional and knowledgeable.
Campus Life
I have attended a couple of events which were hosted by different clubs. It's fun. You can interact with different people from different countries. You can participate in the events as well.
Placement
It is good. As I should say the market is really down now. It may be challenging for freshers to land a job. But if you try hard, nothing can stop you.
Accommodation
I have lived in a shared apartment- 2b2b. The rent was 1900 USD per month and other utilities like electricity, wifi will cost around 160 USD per month. (THIS IS THE TOTAL COST, NOT INDIVIDUAL)
Exams
- GRE, IELTS, good academic percentage, relevant experience (it is good to have because of the competitive admissions and this university has less acceptance rate) - Grade 10: state: 9.8/10 SR EDU CENTER; Grade 12: state: 970/1000 SR EDU CENTER Btech: In computer science: 8.92/10. KAKATIYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE; MS: In computer Science: 4.0/4.0 UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA, TAMPA - Requirements: Yes, I have submitted sop, 3 lors, CV. I took LoRs from my Hod, project head of my b.tech college. I have around 1.5 years of experience which I showcased in my CV and SOP. I think that helped me.
Fees
Around 29k USD for 4 semesters of 10 courses.
