Texas A&M University, College Station review

I applied to 4 colleges and was accepted in 3. • Some of the colleges that I received confirmed admission from includes Texas A&M University and University of Adelaide. • The colleges I received a rejection from includes University of Pennsylvania. • One of the things I believe is that there is a cap of international students in a lot of degree programs and one needs to have a very strong profile including one or two publications to make it to that very competitive 30% niche (2-3 students) of probably 8-10 total intake.  I chose this particular college over the others primarily because the department had faculties spanning a range of topics and there were faculties with overlapping interests. Another factor that influenced my decision was the fact that the stipend we were getting was decent compared to the low cost of living in College Station which is budget friendly and also relatively safe. I applied for the Fall 2024 intake and like I mentioned before some factors that influenced my decision were matching research interest with the department faculties, placement records, location and cost of living. The admission process runs for a year starting the previous fall and the timeline is similar to the MSc applications. My experience at Texas A&M University was nothing short of extraordinary.
