Required Exams for Admission
I wanted to be in Nashville, TN, and for this reason I chose Lipscomb University for pharmacy school. The program seemed inclusive and like a great community/ family feel. I am so pleased with my experience at Lipscomb University and all of the opportunities it has provided along my journey to become a Doctor of Pharmacy. There are incredible people and things within this university!
Course Curriculum
Our course syllabus follows national pharmacy school accreditation guidelines. And we have had multiple presenters from the nearby Vanderbilt University who came and talked to us or offered research opportunities.
Faculty
Our faculty to student ratio is 19:1, which is appropriate for our small school. The faculty and staff at Lipscomb University college of Pharmacy are extremely personable, approachable, and willing to help. So far Dr. Collier is a professor who has certainly left an impact on me and has inspired me to strive to reach my full potential.
Campus Life
There are many organizations, student lead and otherwise, at our university. There is a newsletter which showcases various ways to get involved and student resources are plentiful.
Placement
There is an over ninety percent residency matching rate for those who want to pursue a residency after pharmacy school graduation. The median salary for graduates is six figures.
Accommodation
There is a special villa like accommodation for housing in Italy for our study abroad. There are rooms that are singles and rooms that are doubles as well. It is about 8 thousand dollars to pay for the time abroad and housing for one semester.
Exams
- My scores : MCAT 510. The PCAT is no longer required for pharmacy school and the MCAT was optional to submit but I did because I had taken it before. - Before this program, undergrad GPA was 3.86/4. - 4 AP classes - AP history, chemistry, calculus, language and composition as in all - Had to submit a resume with leadership, volunteering experience. - Interview Round: I had an in person interview with a retired professor and a current professor to ask why I wanted to pursue pharmacy.
Fees
It costs about 42,000 $ to attend Lipscomb college of pharmacy for a year.
Scholarship
Yes, presidential scholarship of 17,000$ a year. This was awarded to me with my acceptance into the pharmacy school.
