Overall experience, I would say is overwhelming but rewarding. It’s definitely a lot of pressure but if you work well under stress, it’ll be a breeze for you!

Course Curriculum

Personally I think at UCLA it’s not just rote learning and we get a chance to experience, debate and understand which is really helpful. It can be frustrating for someone who is an introvert but these situations help students open up.

Faculty

8

Faculty depends on many factors. For some students a professor can be good and for some they can be bad. It’s all relative; but if you put in the work you will succeed and the professor will help you to the best of their ability to help you.

Campus Life

10

Campus life is great, there are many opportunities but your academics take a lot of time and energy so you might not be able to take part in extracurriculars but they are available for you to enjoy and explore.

Placement

10

Average post study placement is great. I know students who graduated from UCLA and are currently working in Fortune 500 companies, or are in Ivy League colleges pursuing their masters.

Accommodation

Off Campus

It is definitely expensive, because it is Los Angeles but if you get scholarships and financial aid, it is definitely better. Student housing is great, there are many apartments nearby as well!

Exams

Community college GPA: 4.0, no standardized tests, although I did take TOEFL, but I wasn’t really an international student and did 2 years worth of community college and got my associates so I didn’t really need those scores. I had to submit personal insight questions aka essay questions. It’s hard to give advice for those, just be sure to be authentic and express all your life experiences.

Fees

$10,000 approx./16 units-4 classes (before financial aid).
