What Students Say?
Likes
- I really liked the city as it is safe and one of the biggest hubs in US. And the university was very well ranked especially for my program.
Overall I am having a great experience so far and one more thing I’d like to highlight is Boston University has a lot of opportunities for on-campus jobs so you can make some money to pay your rent and have some fun as well.
Course Curriculum
Since it is a relatively newer course there’s a lot of revamp that goes on constantly to ensure that it is up to date in terms of what technology/tools we learn.
Exams
My scores are: GRE Verbal 157, GRE Quant 167, Writing 3 and in IELTS 8. I took both the exams in 2022. LORs is a mandate for all universities and try reaching to faculty/work supervisors who have an actual connect with you and you feel like you will be able to type some actionable material on your LOR. I didn’t have any interviews.
Placement
From what I have understood we can expect anywhere between $80K-100K. We have had pharma companies like Sanofi visit us and have had individuals from Citizen Bank and various other companies.
Fees
It’s roughly $70,000.
Scholarship
I received a $12000 scholarship from my program, but I didn’t have to apply separately it was given on the basis of merit.
Faculty
There’s roughly 50-60 students each class and the professors are really good at what they do and are super approachable. Prof. Soltanieha is a really good prof to work with and to take classes under.
Campus Life
Campus life is overall great, there’s a lot of events and things happening around if you are interested to get involved. There’s great facilities as well and it’s all well maintained. And the gym too is probably one of the most highly regarded in the area.
Hostel
Boston is a more expensive city for sure, I live in a 3bhk apt with 2 flatmates and each of us pay $1000 each for rent.
