- It was away from home but close enough to go home when I wanted , offered great extracurricular like Greek life and one uncle went there in the past and talked about how he loved it.
Good. Had lots of experiences here at Murray and met life long friends.
Course Curriculum
Good. It was tough but so is nursing. Curriculum seems updated just wish he had more clinical experience.
Faculty
About 20-30 people in each class compared to very large universities. I’ve gotten closer to some professors that I’m sure you don’t get at large universities too.
Campus Life
Good. Greek life is very involved, intramurals, a large library for studying.
Placement
Average. Clinical placements for nursing Atleast are further away due to lack of hospitals in Murray so further driving time.
Accommodation
I only lived on campus freshman one year. The rooms are extremely small Atleast in my dorm you share a tiny bathroom and shower with the room next door which is inconvenient. I moved off campus after freshman year which your paying out of pocket instead of financial aid but it was much better.
Exams
College degree required. No minimum test score requirements. I took the ACT and received a 28. Interviews were not required. Neither were letters of recommendation. Had to submit proof of high school graduation and passing GPA and ACT if you took it.
Fees
My classes follow the same tuition rate as the rest of the university. There are extra expenses in scrubs, nursing equipment you want and need like stethoscope and things like that.
