You will learn to adjust your lessons based on a student?s musical experience, approach the assessment of musical ability, manage and discipline a classroom, and implement education methods.

Begin assisting in local music classrooms during your freshman year and gain more teaching responsibility over the next few years until your senior year. Every senior Music Education student spends a full semester teaching full-time. The semester is split between two placements in different schools, teaching different grade levels. By the time you graduate from Taylor, you will be confident in the classroom and ready to conduct middle school or high school ensembles.
