Bachelor of Arts [B.A] [Communication - Public Relations Management] From Marist College

All concentrations of study are supported by the School's nationally-renowned internship program. Our internship program gives students valuable field experience throughout the Hudson River Valley Region and in New York City with world leaders in communication, news media, advertising, public relations, sports, publishing, television, and other industries.

The School of Communication and the Arts hosts some of the most prestigious student clubs and activities on the Marist campus, such as the Public Relations Student Society of America. Professional organizations provide students with unique experiences, as well as leadership and professional development opportunities.

The Communication degree has concentrations in Advertising, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, and Sports Communication. The purpose of Public Relations Concentration is to give students a look at the principles and practices of the public relations field. In doing so, students will study the importance of internal and external communication in organizations, PR theory, the history of PR, PR specializations, PR writing and PR case studies. By comprehending the complexities involved in public relations, students will enhance their abilities to function in a variety of roles in the field.
