The program?at Illinois College will give you experience applying classroom knowledge to real-world situations through in-class projects, internships and field work.
Highlights?
- An innovative approach to teaching will help you gain insight into what it?s like to work in finance for a variety of companies ranging from for-profit organizations, nonprofits, businesses and government offices.
- You will have access to some the the most competitive internships with companies in Jacksonville and the surrounding area. Recent internships have been done at Merrill Lynch, Morgan County Housing Authority, AG Edwards, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Jacksonville Savings Bank and DOT Foods.
- In the finance program, you will be encourage to join The Illinois College Warren Billhartz Student Investment Club, where you will invest real money to see firsthand the effects the market has on investment portfolios. The student group also takes educational trips to businesses, such as the Archer Daniel Midland's headquarters in Decatur, Illinois and the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholder meeting in Omaha, Nebraska.?
