Bachelor of Science [B.S] [Computer Information Systems (Management Concentration)] From Fisher College

Students will gain a solid foundation in computer information systems, while also studying management fundamentals. This program enables students who have an aptitude for technology to pursue their own areas of interest within the field and to be competent administrators within a technology-based organization.

Program Mission

The Bachelor of Science in program at Fisher College is committed to providing educational excellence through a carefully constructed business management core curriculum and selective concentrations.??

This curriculum will provide a strong grounding in broad-based fundamental management knowledge and skills to prepare students for meaningful and productive careers as managers and professionals.

We make use of and build on the liberal arts foundation to develop students who have strong analytical skills, and who are able to think, write, and communicate clearly and effectively. Graduates will be able to combine the theory and practice of management with an interpersonal/ cross-cultural understanding of the diverse global environment in which we live, and will be well prepared for ethical decision-making.

Careers:

With a Bachelors of Science in Management with a concentration in Computer Information Systems, students will be well positioned to obtain a job in the information technology sector or work in the IT department of a large corporation. At graduation, students will have experience with hardware, software, web technologies, and project management.

Examples of post-graduate positions would be:

• Government agencies, non-profit entities, and corporate service desks and other support roles

• Entry level positions at web development companies

• Systems administration support roles at cloud providers

• Support or consulting positions at consulting firms

• Hardware support of public schools, colleges and universities
