Dislikes:

  • Kingston's university's global ranking is quite low, and living here is quite expensive. Also, if you stay outside, commuting is time-consuming and expensive too. null

I opted for Kingston University because of its strong commercial reputation, particularly in the Faculty of Commercial and Social Sciences. My career goals were accurately reflected in the program curriculum since it merged academic knowledge with practical experience focusing on employability aspects. The university’s strong industry connection was another critical factor as it provided invaluable opportunities for internships and networking which were necessary for my professional growth.

I chose this university as it was being advertised as a great university for marketing students, interesting modules that sparked my interest and were relevant to the course. Career prospects were great.

  • Intensive course load .
  • Limited scholarships .
  • Administrative delays .
  • High living costs .
  • Large class sizes .

I particularly selected Kingston University mainly because of its fame in international business and marketing. The curriculum is also complete, and current, and suits my career plans to a dot. Besides, being situated in London, the university provides a great deal of promising networking connections and career advancement. It is for this reason that Kingston has massive relations with various companies, which makes internships and job placements to be readily available for the students, this was one of the reasons I preferred Kingston. Also, the equipments and research technologies available for use in the institutions was another attractive factor to me. All in all, I can say that my experience in Kingston University has been more than positive. This academic environment has been rather demanding which has helped me build my potential. The academicians have been helpful during my studies and the students’ society is alive making my time here fulfilling. Of course, there were and still are obstacles; numerous and hardworking tasks and the high cost of living do not leave much room for complaints. The variety of subjects offered, the staff members with great experience, and the numerous meetings with representatives of various enterprises provide a rather complete and beneficial studying process.

Dislikes:

  • First thing which i didn't like is my module which is not well structured. Most of the topics are all covered in bachelors degree so, very few things were new. Also for dissertation they gave us very short time to do lab work. I got around 2 months for doing my lab work which not sufficient to be honest. Second thing which I hate about University is that if someone need any help from professor then they need to write a mail to professor and wait for 2-3 days for their reply. So, in case of emergency it is very difficult to get quick reply from faculty. null

Overall, University is average in terms of academic and good in terms of faculty. Infrastructure is fantastic and University has number of facilities available which is free for every student.

I have researched other UK universities like London Southbank University and Middlesex University. However, I am choosing Kingston University because I’m looking to become a Project Management field where the modules are available in Kingston university which will be a great prospect for my career.

It is a great course, as first 2 years I was in Mumbai and the last in London so you get exposure of both cities. The faculty is good, course is industry oriented. Plus it is cheaper compared to completing all 3 years in London as for the 1st 2 years I have to pay fees as per India. These were wonderful years of my life in terms of learning. I was evolved greatly. I would love to go back again for masters there. Not only academics extra curriculum was also joyous.
