Admission Experience
- I chose it, as its economics department is a well-known department. Admission process was super easy, which included total support from its satellite office in India, which also included visa support service too.
- My scores: IELTS 8.5 and nice academic background, with good recommendation letter.
Faculty
- In my class, there were a maximum of 12 students. The profs are very well versed with their topics and are very easily approachable through email.
Campus Life
- Campus life is good. Its library was a good place to sit and read and gave us access to all those resources, which are not available at IIT. Sport facilities are top-notch, where sport staff and equipment are up to date.
Placement

After graduating from Essex, I first joined as Project associate at IIT Madras, then I worked as Research Assistant at the Indian Council of Research on International Economic Relations, and then I worked as a Senior analyst at the Centre of Study for Science technology and policy, promoting policy-making consultation to various government departments in India. In india, you can get job easily, if you have required skills as per the market requirements
Accommodation
- Accommodation is excellent. It was given through the uni website and all other stuff is available within the uni. For 1 week, rent was around 300 pounds.
