What Students Say
Dislikes
- I would have wanted it to be more involving, in terms of the faculty trying to having a conversation and getting to know everyone.
Course Curriculum
- The course and syllabus is fairly updated and we were given industry exposure through various student-led programs.
- Research experience was offered to us by different assignments that were due and graded.
Admission Experience
- I chose it because of the kind of placements that were being offered at the time, which included companies like; google, microsoft, deloitte, etc.
- Another reason was also because of the location.
- My scores: IELTS: 7.5, IB: 31/45.
Faculty
- The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:50.
- The faculty and staff are extremely well versed with their respective subjects. A few are quite approachable and helpful.
Campus Life
- There are a total of 3 campuses; Regent Street, Marylebone Campus, and Harrow.
- I was based in the Marylebone Campus which is the Business School and where all Business and Business related courses were held.
- The extracurricular activities included; rugby, football, badminton, tennis, more sports. As well as, different clubs, like; forensics, chess, etc. There is 1 library in the Marylebone Campus which spans over 3 floors.
- Additionally, there are career fairs held almost every month with prospective companies, where students get the chance to meet HR heads, etc.
Part Time Jobs
- Students usually earn between 11.5-14 pounds per hour.
- Maximum hours that an international students is allowed to work is 20 per week.
- It is difficult to secure an on campus part time job due to there being extremely few available.
Placement
- 70% of the batch secures employment within 6 months of graduating.
- The average salary in the UK after this is anywhere between 25,000 to 50,000 annually.
- Students usually find jobs by online portals and networking. Also a lot of students also finished their internships during the summer of university breaks, so a few get recruited by their previous employers.
Accommodation
- The first year in London, I booked my accommodation through a university portal, the monthly rent was 1000 pounds/per month.
- The second year I looked for my accommodation myself and went ahead with an apartment along with a friend of mine, for which the rent was 1650 pounds per month.
Exams
- There were no external exams that were required, except your high school diploma and IELTS but only if you score below a 5 in English in the IB.
- Documents required were; LOR and Statement of Purpose on UCAS.
Fees
- 14,400 pounds per year.
