NLU Delhi, SOAS University of London Offers Free Online Course on 'Climate Justice’

The National Law University (NLU) Delhi and Law Environment and Development Centre (LEDC) of SOAS University of London have jointly launched an online certificate course on “Climate Justice”. Interested candidates can apply for admission till May 15, 2023.

As per NLU Delhi, this joint program titled 'Climate Justice and Climate Law: South-North Perspectives'  will run for a duration of two weeks for all participants. The program will be launched in June 2023 and will commence from June 26 to July 07, 2023.

This online certificate program is free for all interested candidates. To be eligible for admission seats, applicants need to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field. Additionally, those who have a doctoral program degree are also eligible to apply for the admission process. 

Informing about the course, the official notice reads, "This course will frame these issues by emphasising the global South-global North dimensions of the international climate change regime and focusing on India as one significant example for understanding climate justice at the national level.

“The course will bring together experts from the global South and global North. It will employ a unique pedagogical approach of combining lectures, class exercises, self-study and coursework. Roundtable discussions and interactive talks with experts also form an integral part of the program”, it further added. 

The Joint Online Program of NLU Delhi and SOAS University of London is open to candidates of all ages, nationalities and gender. The admission process will be held in online mode only and no applications will be accepted after the given deadline of May 15, 2023. 

Candidates need to submit their Detailed curriculum vitae (CV) and a Motivation letter comprising 400 words along with the application. NLU Delhi’s official notice reads that incomplete applications and late applications will not be considered by the university.
